This Bread + Tea = Besties

As a green tea lover I am always looking for new tea time snacks! So imagine my excitement when I came across this recipe featuring two of my all time flavors ever. What flavors must she be talking about, you ask?! Wait for it, wait for it....well those flavors would be lemon and coconut. Can't. get. enough.

#WarbyHoliday

Annam: When I think of winter and snow..fireplaces and lazy nights come to mind. So..lounging around with a cup of hot cocoa is right up my winter alley when it’s snowing. What better way to kick back and taste all the magical-ness of winter in the comfort of your own home and blankets. From one food to another, I also can’t forget my all time favorite seasonal (winter, of course) fruits- pomegranates. I’m a pomegranate peeling machine during this time and honestly the only other way that I could improve my peeling expertise would be to sport the gorgeous Warby Parker Gilbert frames in Whiskey Tortoise. From staying in to actually braving the cold for errands or fun winter filled activities...these frames are perfect for completing your winter look!!

Saba: What defines the perfect winter day for me? I would like to think I have a couple that I gravitate towards but if I had to pick one it would definitely be sitting in a warm room.. under the covers, preferably by a fireplace, and reading a good book. My favorite would hands down be The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I find myself coming back to this book over and over again because it reminds me of the good ol’ days.. The simpler times.. Dramatic moment aside, it’s just a really good book to read on a cold night when you’ve just come back from shopping or making a snowman or whatever you do during the winter!

But nothing would complete the picture perfect moment more than a pair of glasses from Warby Parker. My pick? The Beckett in Saddle Sage. They are the perfect balance between playful and sophisticated. I mean who says you cant be stylish at home?

Let us know in the comments below what your favorite winter time activity is and if you had to pick a pair of gorgeous Warby Parker glasses to complement the look.. Which pair would you choose!

Jasmine Tea!

Hello Hello!

I'm back with another review for you guys! This review has been a long time coming. A little bit of a back story.. I've been on the hunt for the perrrfeeccct cup of jasmine green tea after I had the most amazing one in Maryland last year. Yes, you read the right.. LAST year! Annam got me hooked and ever since than I could not find any tea bags that tasted like the stuff she brewed. Either they were too strong, tasted horrible, smelled even worse than they tasted OR they just felt like I was drinking hot water with a faint after taste-- which probably sounds a lot better than it actually is. Point being- I never found that perfect cup of jasmine green tea so I figured it was probably because I was using tea bags and Annam over there was using the legit stuff, loose tea. I pretty much gave up all hopes of finding what I set out to find about a year ago until I came across this stuff.

Ancient Harvest: Lentil and Quinoa Pasta

Hello lovelies!

So it's no secret that I love to eat. Seriously, the pants in my closet that currently do not fit me anymore will attest to that. But my fat secrets aside, I always try (keyword: try) to find healthier options for meals. Most of the time my healthy options fail and I end up eating a lot more junk than needed but then there are moments that make me feel like I'm doing something right.. Like a proud healthy mama bear. A moment like this happened not too long ago when I stumbled across a healthier pasta option. Now pasta is my weakness. If kryptonite is what makes Superman fall to his knees than it's safe to say pasta is my kryptonite. (I'm so cool with all these comic references, I know)

Beauty Favorites, At The Moment.

Well well well, it's been a minute since I've posted anything. More than a minute.. feels like it's been a minute and a half.. Basically, it feels like forever since I've sat down and have actually written about anything and everything.

So with my first post after months and months, I felt it was only appropriate to write about the products I've been loving lately. I mean, I have had MONTHS to try them out so naturally it makes sense to do this.

I'm going against all my normal "blog" behaviors and keeping this intro and post super short.. I figured you would want to read about my favorites and not about the nonsense that usually comes with :)

So without further ado.. My favorites:

A's Big Reveal- Our Predictions

For the “love”/hate relationship we seem to have for Pretty Little Liars, we sure do seem to build up their popularity by posting about them every so often. This post, in particular, is dedicated to our guesses and speculations on who this “A” creature is. So keep reading below to see both mine and Saba’s predictions and don’t forgot to comment your own!

Love at First... Spray!

I don't know about you guys but finding a perfume these days is not like what it used to be. There are way too many choices out there.. From perfumes that smell horrible but have the cutest bottles to perfumes that not only look super cute on your vanity but also smell just as amazing to perfumes endorsed by celebrities.. (I mean Justin Bieber has a woman's perfume.. Can I just take a second to say how strange that is)! But with so many choices come so many headaches from all the sprays and the testers and the coffee beans that are meant to "cleanse" your nose. It's a struggle (this is some serious first world problem sh*t right here) but for real though, it really is. Throw in how your body reacts to the perfume and you can literally be sitting in Sephora ALL day. (guilty)

#We'reBack

Hello fellow bloggies!

It's been a while.. more than a while.. It's been forever. Pretty much it's been way too long since we've blogged. We'd like to say it is because of our schedules because it mostly is (school, cakes and students barely give us time to do anything) but it's also because we've been so uninspired lately. BUT now that the weather is finally on our side and with summer break in full swing we seriously can not wait to post. We have a lot in store.. from reviews to outfits ideas to our wishlist Wednesdays.. There is something for everyone.

So sit back and watch your inbox get flooded with our email alerts because we are seriously so inspired! Keep an eye out for an upcoming post in the next few days!

Current One True Pairing!

It's no secret that we love green tea here on BakeMeStyle. From pure ol' regular to mint to (my new fav. thanks to Annam) jasmine.. we love green tea in all it's shapes and sizes! But to be honest, I don't think I was ever as addicted to it until I went to Maryland this past winter. I think it was partially because Annam stripped me of my 4 cups of chai everyday or maybe it was cause I saw how many cups of green tea Annam drank in a day and was inspired to be healthy like her. Maybe a combo of both? I don't really know but all I know is ever since I came back, my thirst for regular chai has practically vanished and my thirst for green tea is at an all time high (like 4-5 cups a day, high). But with green tea comes honey and even though I don't like my tea overly sweet anymore, the amount of honey that I drank in a day was at an all time high as well. So I decided to do what Annam does (can you tell she's my role model right now? Cause she kinda is).. and skip the honey all together. I mean, it's not the best tasting drink in the world BUT with a light sweet snack on the side, it's seriously so so good.
